Marley - MR. MARLEY -
The first release by another of Bob's gifted children. Recorded
and mixed at Tuff Gong in Kingston, Jamaica, MR.MARLEY is a wonderful coming together of
the family to back up Damian. Ziggy, Stephen, Cedella, Sharon, Julian, Rohan, Kymani and
Robert Marley are all represented. Damian leads the way with a big up assist from Stephen
and delivers a great CD. There is no question that this is part of the Bob Marley legacy -
his spirit lives on in these songs. Trouble, 10,000 Chariots, Kingston 12, Keep on
Grooving, Searching, One More Cup of Coffee and Me Name Jr. Gong are all based on or are
spin-offs of dad's material, each with a fresh new life of their own. The other handful of
songs are written by combinations of Stephen, Damian, Kymani and Vincent Tata Ford. Damian
brings a little dancehall style to the Marley spirit but there is a strong roots
positive vibe from start to closing note.
