Beenie Man - Over the last few
years Jamaica's Beenie Man, a.k.a. Moses Davis, a.k.a. "The Doctor,"
has emerged as one of dancehall reggae's most accomplished dons. His 1997
breakthrough, The Many Moods of Moses, was the culmination of a recording
career that began when Beenie was only 10 years old. Since Moses, Beenie
has been a consistent hit maker and pace-setter in contemporary reggae, his
albums, including this year's Art and Life, routinely extend his range
and reach as an artist. It's about time he had his own "best-of"
collection.
