The Slackers roared out of Brooklyn, New York in 1991 and have not quite getting crowds around the world on to their feet since.  Their sets are filled with a mix of originals and covers that blend DJ styling and rock with their trademark Ska and Reggae groove.

While the LIVE sound is raucous and raw, their studio albums add a little polish to hone the sound that makes them a contender for the best Ska bands around.  REDLGHT is a great introduction to the band and PECULIAR also stands out although they have not put out an album that doesn't satisfy.
